Culture & Media Programming Track
Director: Austin Sirkin (culture@anachrocon.com)

The Culture & Media Track presents panels about current trends or practices in the Alternate History subculture, analysis of the Alternate History movement or any explications thereof. Anticipated panels include Steampunk 101, Sewing Circle, Steampunk as Victorian Science Fiction, Gender and Race in Steampunk. Panels about storytelling in all of its varieties, including literature, art, films, television, video games, etc., as well as discussions about those things and about concepts put forth in such things. Anticipated panels include Time Travel in Popular Culture, The Alternate Histories of Harry Turtledove, and Q&A with authors.

Fabrication Programming Track
Director: Paige Smith (fabrication@anachrocon.com)

The Fabrication Track coordinates panels and events that focus on imagining and creating historical and Steampunk devices, Panels are presented in conjunction with he Culture Track. Panels will focus on the do-it-yourself projects that make Steampunk such an inclusive community as well as presentations with professional manufacturers.


Fashion Programming Track

The Fashion Track manages events related to Steampunk fashion! Coordinating with the Culture & Media track, the Fashion Track hosts panels on historical fashion, Steampunk attire, and costuming. The highlight of the Fashion Track is the annual AnachroCon Costuming Contest and the Fashion Show.


Gaming Programming Track
Director: Shannon Drake (gaming@anachrocon.com)

The Gaming Track runs the gaming room at AnachroCon and provides a wide range of gaming opportunities for AnachroCon attendees.


History Programming Track
Director: Randi Bruner (history@anachrocon.com)

The History Programing Track focuses on a wide variety of historical aspects including historical recreation, speculative history, and archaeology. Except this track to bring the past to life with demonstrations battle skills, lively historical debates, and presentations of the oddities of the past.

 


Science Programming Track
Director: Richard Jakiel (science@anachrocon.com)

The AnachroCon Science Track focuses on the history of science, focusing on those scientific developments that saw the birth of the modern age. Panels will cover revolutionary upheavals in science, refutation of pseudo-sciences, and the societal changes brought about by empirical sciences.
